Selena Gomez's Fans Are Convinced She Is Engaged To Her Boyfriend Benny Blanco

Since Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco began dating midway through 2023, the pair have been inseparable. From wearing rings emblazoned with one another's initials to ringing in New Years together, courtside seats at Lakers games and numerous couple holidays, it would appear the pair are absolutely smitten.

As their relationship has progressed, the couple have opened up about their hopes for their future together. Back in May, during an interview on The Howard Stern Show, Blanco revealed that he can't wait to have children with Gomez, and marry her some day.

'That’s my next goal, to check the box,' he stated. 'It’s always a topic of conversation to me every day.' Later that month, Gomez also confessed that she wants to have kids during her TIME100 cover story interview.

Now, the singer has sent her fans into a frenzy following a speculative Instagram story shared on Thursdays.

Gomez shared a selfie taken in the mirror of a bathroom, with Blanco appearing behind her, facing the other way. The 32-year-old singer, actor, producer, and businesswoman wears a champagne-coloured midi dress and heels in the photo, while her boyfriend dons a white vest and blue trousers with pink roses printed all over them.

But what really had fans' head in a spin was the double pink love heart emoji that partially covers Gomez's left hand, specifically her fourth finger (aka her 'ring' finger) and little finger.

Social media was set alight by the pictures, as people began to speculate Gomez' reasoning for putting an emoji over her hand.

One X user shared that they were not ready for the news of Gomez's possible engagement, while another believed that the strategical placement of the emoji was to hide a vape, rather than an engagement ring.

While one user questioned the possibility of an engagement, another suggested that there may not be an proposal reveal on the way as the the star has already been wearing a ring on her left hand for several months.

Whether it is true or not, fans were in full support of the potential engagement and shared their happiness for Gomez.

Given the pair's previous comments about marriage, we wouldn't be surprised if the couple are engaged and Gomez's post serves as a teaser to the proposal announcement. Regardless, we couldn't be happier for the couple.
