Second celeb leaves I'm A Celeb jungle as fans 'didn’t see it coming'
After two weeks in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp, the second celebrity to be sent packing from the jungle has been revealed. Having spent 16 days in the jungle, BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough has become the second celebrity to leave the show - following in the footsteps of Jane Moore.
Dean, who faced Bushtucker Trial after Bushtucker Trial during his time in camp, met with hosts Ant and Dec following his departure where he spoke about his time on the show and revealed that he’d like GK Barry to be crowned Queen of the Jungle. “Boys, it's absolutely nuts. I still can't believe I'm here,” he told them.
During the post-eviction interview, Ant and Dec also highlighted how the radio DJ didn’t look too disappointed to be leaving the show - causing Dean to agree. “Not at all, I have really soaked up this whole experience. All the trials,” he added.

Having taken on several consecutive Bushtucker Trials during his first few days in the jungle, Ant and Dec brought up Dean’s tendency to shout ‘I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!’ during his trials, causing him to end the challenges prematurely. And with Ant previously admitting to being “unprofessional” towards Dean, the Radio 1 presenter admitted: “You were so harsh!”
Following the news, fans have taken to social media to express their shock over his exit. “Didn't see that coming! But... well done, public! #imacelebrity #ImACeleb,” wrote one. “Gutted for Dean #ImaCeleb,” another added.
Following the news, fans have taken to social media to express their shock over his exit. With Dean’s behaviour during trials dividing fans, reaction to his exit was rather mixed. “Didn't see that coming! But... well done, public! #imacelebrity #ImACeleb,” wrote one. “Gutted for Dean #ImaCeleb,” another added.
“By the way Dean was a fantastic campmate, and the reaction to him has been insanely overblown #imaceleb,” said a third, in reference to people’s responses to his performance in trials. “I don’t think Dean’s as bad as a lot of people have made out. Would have liked to see him stay in a bit longer tbh. #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity,” commented another.
Dean’s exit comes just days after Loose Women star Jane Moore became the first celebrity to be evicted from camp. Speaking to Dec about her time in camp, she said: “It's such a weird and magical experience.
“People always say it's the best experience of your life - I wouldn't quite put it that way with the rain. I've never been so soaked in all my life constantly. But all those guys are absolutely wonderful people, I love getting to know them all.”
