We look to Salma Hayek for fashion and beauty inspiration all the time — and how could we not? She's one of the most gorgeous and stylish women in Hollywood! But seeing as home goods are my domain (pun intended), I'm always curious about what celebrities have in their kitchens. That's why I was delighted to come across a series of photos the actress posted on Instagram, showing her cooking (in an amazing pair of zebra-print PJs, no less). While I couldn't make out all of the cookware on her counter, I did spot a pan from T-fal, one of the more affordable brands on the market. I always find it refreshing when celebs use attainable products, and if you're curious to try the brand for yourself, the T-fal Specialty Nonstick Handy Pot happens to be marked down to $21 (from $50) at Amazon.

Why is it a good deal?

While this isn't the absolute lowest price we've seen for this pot (it's dipped as low as $16), it's one of the best in years — you're saving nearly 60%! These days, it's hard to find a quality piece of cookware for less than 50 bucks, and the fact that this one comes so highly rated makes it even more of a steal.

Why do I need this?

Made of aluminum to promote even heating and distribution, the T-fal Specialty Nonstick Handy Pot has a slick interior that allows food to slide right off. (For peace of mind, it's PFOA-free.) The 3-quart capacity is sufficient for boiling noodles, cooking vegetables, making sauces and reheating meals, and since it comes with a glass lid you'll be able to check on your food without letting too much steam out.

The ergonomic handle and lid knob were designed to stay cool even while the rest of the unit is hot to protect your hands. While it's a breeze to clean by hand, the pot is also dishwasher-safe for added convenience.

This pot doesn't have T-fal's signature Thermo-Spot (the red circle seen on Salma's crepe pan in the last photo of her Instagram series, which lets you know when the cookware is properly preheated), but reviewers say it heats up rapidly, so it won't take much guesswork to know when it's ready for use.

"Favorite pot!" exclaimed an enthusiastic buyer. "It's been used on a daily basis for a month now and works as advertised. Nonstick, great for cooking oatmeal in the morning. Also, water heats up much quicker than in regular pots. Easy to clean as well."

Cons

According to one reviewer, this pot isn't ideal for draining water and liquids. "The lid doesn't work very well for straining because it has edges," they explained. "So you need a colander or a lot of patience." However, they added, "It's a saucepan, so that's not its intended purpose ... I use it primarily to boil water for coffee, tea and pasta products. Works better than a huge pot when I'm only making enough for one to two people."

"My only complaint is [the] ridges on the bottom ... it makes shaking on the stove difficult," noted another user. "Simple fix is pick [it] up off the stove grate."
