Sacha Baron Cohen spotted wearing wedding ring - two months on from Isla Fisher split
Sacha Baron Cohen appears to have been spotted wearing his wedding rings, two months after he and Isla Fisher revealed that they had filed to end their 14-year marriage.
In new pictures published in The Sun, the 52 year old could be seen out on a walk in North London, sporting a navy jumper and flat cap. In the snaps, the Ali G actor also appeared to be wearing his wedding band on his left hand despite being seen without the wedding band last week, the Mirror reports.
The pictures come after Sacha and Isla revealed in a social media post uploaded in April that they had called time on their relationship in 2023 and that they had been "quietly working through this change".
In a joint statement released on Instagram, they explained: "In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy."
Sacha and Isla first met at a party in Sydney, Australia in 2001. Speaking to The New York Times, the Borat actor revealed that he “instantly” knew that Isla was the person for him. "She was hilarious. We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party,” he said. “I knew instantly. I don't know if she did.”
After getting engaged in 2004 following three years of dating, the pair said ‘I do’ in 2010 in an intimate ceremony in Paris. In a bid to keep the big day under wraps, Sacha revealed that his father pretended to be a famous chef who was celebrating his birthday rather than a father celebrating his son's wedding.
48 year old Isla has also opened up about keeping their big day private during an interview with Allure. “It [was] very important to me to have a beautiful ritual celebrated with my family and friends. And when you are in the public eye, to keep that private and to make it happen without it being really visible is really difficult,” she explained.
Together, Sacha and Isla share three children together. Their first daughter, Olive, was born in 2007 while their second, Elula, was born in 2010. Then in 2015 they welcomed their son, Montgomery, into the world.
