Blake Lively is expecting her fourth child with her husband-of-10-years, Ryan Reynolds. We learned of the news when the Gossip Girl alum revealed her bump at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women's Summit in New York on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
At the time, the 35-year-old posed in a sequinned mini dress from Italian fashion house Valentino, which she teamed with chunky platform heels.
The actor-turned-businesswoman, who spoke to Moira Forbes, president and publisher of ForbesWomen, at the event, about her non-alcoholic mixer brand Betty Buzz, later shared photos from the event to her Instagram feed.
It was at this point her fans took to the comments section to congratulate her and her expanding family. 'Gorgeous muma!' wrote one person, while another commented: 'Congratulations MUMA.'
Lively and Reynolds already share three daughters, James, seven, Inez, six, and Betty, three, and the 46-year-old Deadpool actor recently told Today he hopes their fourth child is also a girl. 'I know girls,' he said. 'So I'm kind of hoping for that.'
The couple traditionally keep the sex of their children a surprise until their birth, so it's likely we won't know the baby's gender before the arrival.

Reynolds sweetly shared that when it comes to supporting Lively during her fourth pregnancy, the whole family rallies together.
During an interview with E! News at the 36th Annual American Cinematheque Awards on November 17, Reynolds said: 'It's not just me. It's our kids, too.'
Discussing how he and his daughters have been making life easier for Lively, Reynolds added: 'We all rally around her and help her where we can and do romantic things for her.
'And, you know, we take care of the mumma.'

After Reynolds confirmed that he and Lively are expecting their fourth child, the actor was asked by E! News whether this time around will be 'easier'.
Reynolds responded: 'Yes and no. I mean, the things we know are going to help us get through things a little bit quicker. But I don't know. Anything can happen.'
Reiterating the couple's decision to keep the sex of their babies under wraps until birth, he added: 'I don't even know if it's a boy or a girl yet. So, we'll see.'
07/11/22: Ryan Reynolds addresses whether he and and Blake Lively know the gender of their fourth child
During an appearance on Today, Reynolds shared if he and his wife know the sex of baby number four, and explained that they are sticking to their longstanding tradition of not finding out until the baby has arrived.
He told Today's Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb: 'I don’t know. We never find out til (the baby is born).'
The actor also admitted that he would be pleased if the couple had another daughter, saying: 'I know girls so I’m sort of kind of hoping that, but I’m ready for whatever happens.'
He then explained why he isn't desperate to have a son.
'(I come from) all brothers, which is why I speak from experience. I love my well-being and my home,' he joked. 'I was the youngest of four and we were just arsonists and firemen.'
After Savannah said: 'Now you’re the ultimate girl dad,' he replied: 'Yes.'
What has Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have previously said about parenthood?
While the couple protect the privacy of their daughters, this hasn't stopped them opening up about parenting and family life.
In June 2022, Reynolds sat down for a discussion called 'Creativity at the Pace of Culture' at Cannes, and joked about having three 'wild' daughters.
'I'm a parent of three girls. They're wild. I think they have rabies sometimes,' he quipped.
He also admitted to his 'brutal' mistakes as a dad, saying: 'I'm like any parent — I'll have a moment where I'll just snap.' Reynolds added: 'It's not so much what you do in the moment that's interesting, it's what you do afterwards.'
Recalling the crucial lesson he taught his kids, the actor said: 'I used to tell my kids, 'Don't waste your mistakes.

Reynolds previous spoke admirably of Lively on the fourth season of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman: 'Blake, full disclosure, really showed me how to do all this. The proud father noted that the 'division of labour is very important' when raising three children.
When speaking to career platform LinkedIn in December 2021, Reynolds gushed: 'I really enjoy being a present dad. I love taking them to school in the morning. I love picking them up.'
Discussing home schooling during the pandemic, he said: 'I certainly don’t miss Zoom school but, you know, it was really lovely to have that insight and visibility into my kids’ real daily lives. And for my wife as well.'
As for Lively, in a 2012 Allure interview, she said: 'I’ve always wanted a big family. Oh, I’d love 30 [children] if I could.'
In 2020, she spoke to E! News about being more selective with her movies now that she has three children.
'I guess I really have to really, really, really, really love it, because I'm just obsessed with my kids,' she said of choosing film roles.
'So, yeah, I think it's gotta really be worth it to take me away.'
Later, in February 2022, she joked about sneaking out of the house to attend New York Fashion Week, saying: 'I could put my kids to bed and then secretly sneak out and go have a whole alternative life'.
