Royal wedding: Princess Eugenie marries Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle

Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank were married Friday at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in Windsor, England.

The bride wore an ivory satin gown by London-based label Peter Pilotto. It had a cold-shoulder neckline, long sleeves, and a sweeping train. She went without a veil, instead opting for an emerald-encrusted tiara borrowed from her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Her matching emerald drop earrings were made for her as a gift from Brooksbank.

The wedding drew familiar royals, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, who wore a deep pink dress with three-quarter sleeves by one of her favorite designers, Alexander McQueen. Her monochromatic ensemble featured a matching fascinator, burgundy heels, and a clutch.

Kate’s sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, arrived in a chic navy midi dress by Givenchy, the label that designed the gown for her wedding to Prince Harry, who also attended. Her matching topper was by milliner Noel Stewart. She also kept her look to a single hue, with matching heels and clutch.

Other royals at the ceremony included the Queen and Prince Philip; the bride’s sister and maid of honor, Princess Beatrice; and their parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson. Eugenie’s bridesmaids included members of the royal family, while the groom’s brother, Thomas Brooksbank, served as best man. Two of Prince William and Kate’s three children were also in the bridal party: Princess Charlotte, 3, was one of six bridesmaids, and Prince George, 5, was a pageboy.

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall and wife of Prince Charles, appeared to be the only member of the family not at the event. She had a prior commitment to visit schoolchildren in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

But the royals weren’t the only famous faces. Demi Moore was spotted arriving with longtime friend Eric Buterbaugh, an American florist and perfumer. Musicians Robbie Williams and Ricky Martin, actress Liv Tyler, and models Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss were also on the 850-person guest list.

The bride, 28, and groom, 31, met on a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland, in 2010. After dating for several years, they announced their engagement in January 2018 in Nicaragua.

“We met when I was 20 and Jack was 24 and fell in love,” Princess Eugenie has said. “We have the same passions and the same drive for life.”
