Royal fans can't get over this fact about the Queen and Prince George
It's been a big week for Prince George who turned nine years old on Friday. Yep, we feel old as well! To celebrate, various members of the Royal Family took to social media to share special birthday messages and photos of the future King – and one photo in particular caused quite the stir amongst royal fans.
The photo in question was shared on the Royal Family's official Twitter account, with plenty of royal fans pointing out that nine-year-old Prince George is now the same height as his 96-year-old great-grandmother the Queen.
"Wishing a very Happy 9th Birthday to Prince George!" the tweet read alongside a photo of Her Majesty smiling at Prince George on the Buckingham Palace balcony during her history-making Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June. "The fact he's the same height though", a royal fan replied with a crying emoji.

And the fan wasn't alone in her spot, as other eagle-eyed fans pointed out the same in similar pictures of the two royals. "The Queen and Prince George are the same height", someone tweeted alongside a series of photos of the third in line to the throne. "Anyone else shook that Prince George and The Queen are almost the same height?" another royal fan wrote, as a third chimed into the conversation with: "Prince George is practically the same height as the Queen!"
Earlier this year, another royal fan pointed out much the same, taking to socials after the Platinum Jubilee weekend to say: "Silly I know, but I can’t get over how TINY the Queen is. George is 8 and the same height as her."

Elsewhere, a photo shared to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's official Instagram account had fans talking about how much Prince George looks like his dad, Prince William. The birthday portrait – which was photographed by Kate Middleton – quickly racked up over half a million likes and tonnes of comments from royal followers.
"What a fantastic photo! George looks so much like his dad", one royal fan said in the comments section, with another person putting: "He looks just like William to me! Beautiful boy."
A third follower added, "He’s looking so much like his daddy these days!", as someone else commented: "Wow he looks just like his Dad!"
And we'd have to agree, the similarities are certainly uncanny!
