Richard Branson's Virgin Voyages launches new cruise ship
Virgin Voyages has announced its brand new second ship, Valiant Lady.
Set to shake up our holiday plans, Virgin Voyages will begin its inaugural season in 2020 but Valiant Lady won’t sail until May 2021.
It’ll follow Virgin Voyages first ship, Scarlet Lady, which will sail for the first time in April 2020.
Valiant Lady has a pretty impressive seven-day itinerary which will see guests leave the port of Barcelona, Spain and travel around the Mediterranean to France and Italy.

Although the first voyage might seem like a fair way off, we’ll be able to book our spaces on the ship from 19 December 2019.
It’s managed to bag itself a prime docking location in Barcelona, a space that’s only usually reserved for super yachts and luxury liners.
It’ll dock near Las Ramblas at the World Trade Center Barcelona, meaning cruisers will be as close as possible to the iconic landmarks the Spanish city has to offer.
If you don’t fancy the sound of one of the itineraries, luckily you’ll have two more to choose from.

Itinerary one will take you through Barcelona, Ibiza, Monte Carlo, Marseille and Olbia.
Itinerary two has a slightly more Italian influence with a route including Barcelona, Ibiza, Toulon, Ajaccio, Marina di Carrara and Cagliari.
Finally, itinerary three will sail primarily along the southern coastline of Spain, which will include Barcelona, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and the British port of Gibraltar.
Each of the itineraries offer cruisers an overnight stay in Ibiza giving you ample opportunity to sample both the party side and the laid-back vibe of the island.
The all-inclusive ship will continue Virgin Voyages’ “Scarlet Squad” program. The initiative aims to support female shipboard talent.
Statistically, areas like marine, technical and hotel management show low rates of female leadership.
This initiative plans to change that for the better. We can certainly get on board with that!
