BBC Radio 2 star Scott Mills has married his fiancé of four years, Sam Vaughan, in a beautiful ceremony at Xalet Del Nin in Sitges, Spain yesterday (Saturday, 1 June). The 51-year-old DJ welcomed a host of famous faces to the nuptials, including radio stars Zoe Ball, Rylan Clark, and Jordan North, as well as Calvin Harris and his wife Vick Hope.

His close friend and former co-host Chris Stark performed Master of Ceremony duties and watched on as the newlyweds posed for photos in front of a rainbow-coloured canons. Adding to the celeb guest was singer Pixie Lott, who sang How Long Will I Love You during the ceremony, and Eurovision star Sam Ryder who performed a party set for the happy pair.

DJ Joel Corry took over at night, providing the soundtrack as the guests parties into the early hours. Speaking about his special day, Scott said: ”We both had the most incredible day. To celebrate with all our close friends and family in Spain was so special. We are looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together."

The couple also had a pre-wedding bash on Friday night in Barcelona, taking advantage of the stunning seafront views and a special performance from singer Callum Scott. Sam and Scott also hired celebrity stylist Stevie B Shindler to help with their wedding wardrobes.

Scott announced in 2021 that he was engaged to boyfriend of four years, Sam, and in an exclusive chat with OK! he recently revealed that he's "feeling the pressure" ahead of the big day. "Planning is going really well, it's really near now," he said at the time. "It's a summer wedding. I think we're worked out all the logistics of everything and what's going to happen on the day."

Scott also added that despite being a long-established radio presenter, he's nervous about his speech - which he admitted he did last minute.

"What I haven't written yet, which I think I should tackle quite soon and I'll probably do it the week after Eurovision, is my speech," he added. "I think especially in my job, there will be high expectations of 'Oh his speech is going to be good.' Well, I haven’t written it yet and also I'm not that good at public speaking despite being on the radio every day. So I think I'm feeling the pressure about my speech, because I've got to nail that, haven’t I?"

Ahead of their big day, Scott's radio colleague Rylan also revealed that he had organised a wedding surprise for them, as Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac could be heard delivering a special message. Annie said: "Oh my goodness, you're about to get married," as Nick chimed in: "Oh my god, congratulations. It's going to be some party, but do you know what I'm most excited about? It is gonna go off. It is gonna reach new levels."

Annie asked "what?" and Nick explained: "The spray tan. It is gonna reach new levels. I can't wait to see what shade the bride (presumably Scott) goes."

Nick continued: "I hope that Scott goes full varnish," as Annie said: "Well you only get married once, hopefully." After Nick and Annie wished Scott all the best, Scott said: "Aww, I love them, Nick and Annie."

Admitting he already had a spray tan booked in, Scott explained: "They're joking but I have got a double-dip booked at 7pm. They do you once and then they say 'do you want to double-dip?' and you can go again."

Rylan then quipped: "Sorry, are you explaining that to me?" as Scott clarified that he was explaining it to the show's listeners.
