Today is the Queen’s official birthday. (Don’t forget this lady gets two birthdays unlike every other human on the planet.) Britain’s longest reigning monarch will be turning 91.
Although 2017 will see much quieter celebrations than last year’s festivities, Elizabeth will no doubt be enjoying her daily slice of cake.
The Queen’s style is somewhat overlooked in the royal family. We all wait eagerly to see which designer the Duchess of Cambridge will turn up in next but no one seems too fussed about the monarch.
That’s about to change. Elizabeth is always seen in a matching coat and hat (and sometimes even a colour-coordinating umbrella) in a display of head-to-toe coordination unrivalled by any other.
