The six-part spin-off series follows young Charlotte, how she came to marry George and become the iconic Queen of England. From the romance to the drama, we’re obsessed.
Now, fans have spotted a heart-breaking theory about the costumes in the show that might be just as sad as what happens to Reynolds and Brimsley.
In Queen Charlotte, we learn more about the love story between the Queen and King George as well as his worsening illness which caused him to have psychiatric symptoms such as anxiety, confusion or hallucinations.
Despite this, Charlotte declares her love for George and vows to stay with him. In real life, the Queen served as consort and their son acted as Regent, ruling in place of his ill father.
But, some eagle-eyed fans have spotted that despite much of the fashion moving to more understated, Regency-era styles in the newer scenes, Queen Charlotte still wears more elaborate Georgian gowns and wigs throughout the series.
If you were wondering why this is, many fans are speculating that she does this as to not confuse George due to his illness and make her more recognisable to him. We’re not crying, you are!
