Queen Camilla Sees Green in Sartorial Holiday Statement Look for Christmas Day Service With King Charles III and the British Royal Family
Queen Camilla joined other members of the British royal family on Wednesday for a Christmas Day service in Sandringham, Norfolk. The queen consort made a unifying sartorial statement with her chosen attire and paid homage to Queen Elizabeth II with sentimental pieces of jewelry.
Queen Camilla wore a green wrap coat with sharp lapels and an angular collar for the yuletide holiday festivities. The dark green coat featured long sleeves and was paired with mostly black accessories and other sartorial elements — including Queen Camilla’s gloves, boots and her Chanel purse.

Queen Camilla continued her green color motif with her hat. The chapeau featured a lighter green tone and included a pheasant-style feather with shades of brown, green and red. Along with her feather finery and green sartorial color motif, Queen Camilla accessorized with pieces of jewelry courtesy of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s collection.
The queen consort wore the Greville Ivy Leaf clips. The Cartier brooches were each pinned to the collar of Queen Camilla’s coat. The brooches originally belonged to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and were later passed down to her daughter, Queen Elizabeth II, who wore them throughout her life during public engagements during her time as monarch.
While the brooches Queen Camilla fastened to her coat collar held significant sentimental value, the color of her ensemble also featured a certain sartorial message.
Queen Camilla’s green ensemble mimicked that of Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte, each of whom incorporated the festive color into their respective ensembles. The Princess of Wales wore a green coat courtesy of Alexander McQueen, while Princess Charlotte’s coat included green and blue tartan patterning to match her mother’s scarf.
Queen Camilla often finds ways to include subtle sartorial statements into her wardrobe with significant pieces tethered to the past. Her Christmas Day 2024 ensemble merged both an homage to the late Queen Elizabeth II as well as a unifying statement for the current senior and prominent members of the British royal family.
