Who qualifies for Amazon's $25 flights deal? When is it? Here's what to know

Traveling this holiday season on a tight budget? Amazon is offering a limited number of flights for $25 to young adults.

Amazon and StudentUniverse, a company that offers discounted travel rates to students and young adults, are partnering for a second year to offer $25 flights during the holidays. The companies are offering 5,000 flights at the discounted rate to Amazon Prime Student members who are between 18-24 years old.

The $25 deal aims to provide affordable travel to young adults during an already expensive time of the year for most. According to a CreditKarma survey, abut two-thirds of Gen Z and millennials expected to take on debt during the 2023 holiday season, with one-third of Gen Zers not able to afford traveling home for the holidays because of accruing expenses like student loan payments.

“As a mom to a college student, I am excited to have my son home for the holidays,” Carmen Nestares, vice president of U.S. Prime and Marketing Tech at Amazon, said in a news release. “The holidays are a time to gather with loved ones, make memories, and create traditions, and we're happy to help make flying more affordable for young adults who want to spend this important time with family and friends."
