PSA: Gymshark has just launched a stylish sports hijab
Gymshark is well-known among fitness insiders for its wide range of super-high-waisted, stretchy and smoothing gym leggings, supportive sports bras and cosy sweatshirts – and those who have been paying attention to the Women's Health Gym Wear section lately will know the British brand dropped a fab, premium athleisure line called 'Everywear' recently, too.
But beyond ensuring we're kitted out in functional yet flattering sports gear that won't break the bank, Gymshark is also committed to breaking down the barriers to exercise – hence its newest release: a hijab.
Available to purchase from today online and in the Regent Street store, the Gymshark Hijab is the ultimate in modest activewear: it's crafted from a sweat-wicking fabric, comes in two stylish shades (cargo teal and sand beige) and retails at just £25.
'We can’t say we are a community brand if we don’t act on what our community are telling us,' explains Nichola Harris, Gymshark's Senior Designer for Headwear & Accessories. 'We hear that women who wear modest clothing want to train and lift, but they want to do so with confidence, comfort and style. The Hijab Scarf builds on our previous collections and campaigns in the modest world. Not only do they look and feel great, but if we can provide the apparel that will alleviate any concerns and help with focus on training, then we are all for that.'
