Princess Charlotte is fast becoming one of the most polite members of royalty - and with all that etiquette and royal protocol to follow, that's no mean feat.

The adorable three-year-old was on her best behaviour at little brother Prince Louis' christening this afternoon, and took the lead as she shook hands with the Archbishop of Canterbury as the Cambridge family arrived at the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace.

Charlotte barely needed any prompting from Prince William or Kate - who was cradling a very sleepy Louis - to politely shake hands and say hello before entering the church. After all, who can forget when the young royal covered her mouth as she sneezed at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding in May?

It's the first time we've seen Prince Louis since he was born on April 23, and William and Kate proudly posed with their latest arrival on the steps of the Lindo Wing in London's Paddington.

While chatting with the archbishop, Kate was overheard describing her sleeping boy as "very relaxed and peaceful", and then added (via Mirror): "I hope he stays like this."

Meanwhile, Charlotte also couldn't resist in waving to the cameras on her way out, which is also becoming a trademark for the princess as working the crowd appears to come very naturally to her.

George, meanwhile, was acting a little bit shy, and in fact we may have spotted him stifling a tiny yawn. School's tough at 4.

Sadly the Queen and Prince Philip were absent from Louis' big day - which had been mutually agreed by Her Majesty and the Cambridges some time before the event - but guests included Prince Charles and Camilla, and Prince Harry and Meghan.

Kate's parents Michael and Carole, her brother James, and pregnant sister Pippa were also in attendance.

The family are said to be enjoying tea and a tier of William and Kate's royal wedding cake following the christening. Charlotte most definitely deserves a slice...
