Prince Louis' brutal takedown of Princess Charlotte as she tells him off during Trooping the Colour

Prince Louis cheekily responded to his older sister, Princess Charlotte, as she attempted to keep him in check at the iconic Trooping the Colour event today, reveals a lip reader. The trio, including their brother Prince George, accompanied by the Princess of Wales, who wowed fans as she reunited with the Royal Family, seemed to enjoy observing Trooping the Colour from an elevated balcony after a spirited carriage ride along the Mall.

At Horse Guards Parade, Kate was seen standing with her three children: Prince George, Louis, and Charlotte, while red uniform-clad regiments carried out a parade. As the band played on, Louis found delight in dancing along, after stealing the show with his yawning, with the Scots Guards quick march to Highland Laddie, a move which appeared to perhaps irritate his elder sister.

According to expert lip reader Nicola Hickling, Princess Charlotte seemed to tell her frolicking brother: "You have to stop doing that. Watch the parade", to which he defiantly responded, "I won't". Upon further admonishment from Charlotte, who seems to add: "Do as you're told", Louis boldly retorted: "Nope."

In true younger sibling fashion, young Louis seemed to be diverting attention during the ceremonious balcony proceedings, much to mum Kate's amusement, who donned matching outfits with daughter Charlotte. Displaying esprit typical for a boy his age, Louis amused viewers by tugging playfully on the window blind cords instead of taking in the crowd scenes.

Trooping the Colour is both a social and ceremonial occasion. The stands overlooking the parade ground were packed with around 8,000 spouses, girlfriends and parents of the guardsmen and officers on parade.

The event featured over 1,250 soldiers, with hundreds of Guardsmen lined up on the parade ground waiting for inspection by the King from his carriage, accompanied by Camilla, Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, and the mounted Royal Colonels.

Earlier, the crowds cheered as Kate waved from the glass coach that followed the carriage carrying King Charles and Queen Camilla, who was also wearing a Philip Treacy hat and an Anna Valentine dress, to Horse Guards Parade. Other royals in carriages included the Duchess of Edinburgh, Lady Louise Windsor and the Duke of Kent.

Riding on horseback were Prince William, Princess Anne and Prince Edward.

Yesterday it was revealed that Kate would be joining the celebration of the King's official birthday with her family. In a heartfelt message, she shared that she experiences "good days and bad days" during her preventative chemotherapy treatment.

Alongside her words, a stunning new photo taken by famed Royal photographer Matt Porteous was released.

The Princess also expressed her desire to attend some public events over the summer as she undergoes cancer treatment "for a few months". It is believed that Kate's participation in Trooping the Colour is a show of solidarity with her children, her family, and her affection for the King, who is also undergoing cancer treatment.
