Prince Harry was pictured visiting Armoury House in London this afternoon, Tuesday 7 May, as he attended an Invictus Games discussion called 'Realising a Global Community ', in his first sighting since touching down in the UK.

The Duke of Sussex flew from the US to his home turf to celebrate ten years of the Invictus games this week, and it has also been revealed that he won't be meeting with his father - King Charles - during the trip.

Despite the apparent snub, which has been put down to conflicting schedules, Harry appeared in high spirits as he was snapped conversing with Pikemen and Musketeers at the event today, which took place outside in the glorious sun.

Harry, who is a patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, was also seen chatting with Dominic Reid OBE, the CEO of the charity, during the event. The royal will also attend a ceremony at St Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday, 8 May to mark ten years since he founded the Invictus Games in 2014.

While reports have been circulating that Harry, who has arrived without his wife Meghan Markle and their children, was keen to meet up with his estranged family - it was confirmed that this would not be the case upon his arrival.

A spokesperson for Harry put it down to a clash in diaries, and the busy schedule King Charles has to attend to, since he returned to Royal duties after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

"It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme," said the statement from Harry's team. They added: "The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."

ITV's royal editor Chris Ship confirmed his arrival at 1pm on Tuesday, saying: "Prince Harry is in the UK. He landed here ahead of his St Paul’s Cathedral service tomorrow to mark 10 years of the @WeAreInvictus which he founded in 2014. He’s doing some Invictus related events today."

Chris confirmed Harry had travelled alone, with Meghan not planning to join him in the UK. She will reunite with her husband later in the week for a trip to Nigeria.

"Prince Harry travelled to the UK alone - without Meghan or the children Archie and Lilibet. Meghan will not accompany Harry to the St Paul’s Cathedral in London tomorrow. But she will be with Harry for their visit to Nigeria later this week," he added.
