Prince Harry's little ones, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, might be getting edged out of the Royal narrative, insiders claim. During a recent speech, King Charles made a charming reference to his grandkids which led Royal editor Kate Mansey to point out that people usually think of the Royal youngsters as Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Chatting with Roya Nikkhah on an episode of Royal Confidential, royal commentator Kate highlighted the lack of connection between Charles and the Sussex children who are based in the US.

Mansey expressed her thoughts, saying: "You think of Charles talking about his grandchildren, the first thing you think of is the Wales', because he doesn't have that connection to the Sussex grandchildren."

She pondered whether the Sussexes' have become so distant that "it's just so written out of the narrative," implying that when Charles mentions his grandkids, it's assumed he means those in the UK, reports the Express.

The King had recently cracked a joke about Pokemon during the Japanese State Visit banquet, quipping: "I am only sorry to report that I haven't had any better luck with more recent attempts at fishing - the Pokemon phrase 'gotta catch 'em all' may resonate with my grandchildren, but for me, it is, perhaps, aspirational! ".

Charles didn't specify which of his grandkids he was referring to, sparking the royal commentator's curiosity.

Commenting on Prince Charles' relationship with his grandchildren, Kate said: "You think of Charles talking about his grandchildren, the first thing you think of is the Waleses, because he doesn't have that connection to the Sussex grandchildren."

She added: "You don't even think now, 'Oh, wonder which grandchildren he's thinking about?"

Nikkhah was in agreement with her guest, adding: "I think you're right, your assessment is right, when he says grandchildren, people here think first and foremost he's talking about the ones he's seen with on the Buckingham Palace balcony at the big moments and that's not Archie and Lilibet."

She concluded: "We know that both sides would like that relationship to be closer and stronger, but the distance means it just isn't."

It comes as Meghan's dad Thomas Markle claimed he is "sad" that his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are being "denied" a Royal lifestyle.

In an interview with New Zealand Woman's Weekly, Thomas shared his concerns: "It struck me as very sad that Meghan and Harry's kids are being denied the right to know their cousins, who look like fantastic children, or take part in things like Trooping the Colour, which is their birthright.

"They are getting to the age where they will start to ask questions, as all kids do. I find myself wondering how Archie and Lilbet will feel in a few years' time when they realise all the things they have missed out on."
