Prince George's school lunch is way better than yours ever was

It’s only been a week since Prince George donned his best shiny shoes and adorable crested jumper to start his first term at Thomas’s Battersea in London.

Although we’d love to know more about how to young Prince is settling into his new school life, if the lunch menu is anything to go by we’d say he’s having a great time.

The school’s website gives us a glimpse at the sample menus the kids can expect, and it’s all really rather fancy. We’re talking gourmet.

The words ‘organic’ and ‘freshly prepared’ feature highly on the menu. Plus, have allergies? No problem, it also boasts gluten free and dairy free options.

Meanwhile, George can expect dishes such as, “freshly prepared poached haddock with a poached egg, served with steamed baby corn, carrots and mange tout, and Mediterranean 50/50 cous cous and quinoa”.

See, we told you it was posh.

And if you’re wondering, could you ever get bored of dishes such as salmon fillet with a salsa verdi? Well, George will never find out, as the schools three week menu cycle is only repeated once. The website also adds that this, “changes with the season, so that we offer lighter lunches during the lighter days and more substantial meals when the days turn cold”.

So, George isn’t going to be eating any soggy fish fingers with a sprinkling of sad looking salad anytime soon. However, if you’re worried that George is missing out on classic school delicacies, such as potato waffles you needn’t worry. On Friday’s the Prince will be treated to “oven baked marguerite pizza” and “deep fried potato wedges”, which is basically the posh way of saying pizza and chips.

We just have one more question, can we come here for lunch too?
