When we were three years old, we were probably struggling to name different farm animals in English.

But little Prince George has already learned to count to ten in Spanish.

The Duchess of Cambridge revealed during a visit to a charity farm project in Gloucestershire that she’s been busy teaching him his tres from his cuatro.

Speaking to a group of schoolchildren who were learning about how the farm is run, she told them that she’d been teaching both Charlotte and George one to ten in the language, which George had already mastered.

“She said she is trying to teach Charlotte Spanish and said her son George can count up to ten in Spanish already,” Sayana, a nine-year-old girl who was volunteering at the farm, told reporters according to the Evening Standard.

Perhaps little George has a natural ability for languages or – as children often do – is just ready to absorb the world around him as he enters his post-toddler years.

And perhaps the Duchess and Duke’s Spanish nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, helped him catch onto the language so fast.

Either way – George, you put us all to shame.
