Rose Leslie’s wedding to ‘Game of Thrones’ co-star Kit Harington is still on our minds.
The stunning Scotland setting, the A-list guest list and beautiful, happy photos have made it one of the best celebrity weddings of the year so far.
And Rose Leslie’s stunning lace Elie Saab wedding dress just added to the magic of the day.
The gorgeous dress from the Elie Saab Bridal spring/summer 2018 collection, featured long tulle sleeves with intricate embroidery, a bateau neckline and and open back. The red-haired bride wore the dress with a stunning embroidered veil and a flower crown.
The creation cost a cool £20,000, which for many, would be blowing most of the wedding budget.
But in the dizzying land of celebrity weddings, Rose’s dress is really just a drop in the ocean… Seriously.
Case in point: just look at the recent royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, where the bride wore a very simple, elegant boat neck, Givenchy gown.
Meghan’s dress was reported to have cost close to an eye-watering £350,000 – £100,000 more than her sister-in-law Kate Middleton’s reportedly cost seven years earlier.
Or there’s Kim Kardashian‘s wedding wedding gown, worn to wed Kanye West in May 2014.
The bride wore a stunning floor-length gown custom-designed by Riccardo Tisci for, again, Givenchy, which featured long lace sleeves, a diamond-shaped cut-out back and a fishtail bottom.
Like Meghan, Kim brought the drama via her huge veil, which was handmade and featured ultra-wide French Alencon lace.
Though the dress was likely made as a gift by Tisci, a friend of Kim, her gown was estimated to be worth around £372,000.

Amal Clooney’s wedding to George Clooney in 2015 was something from a fairytale, and the bride’s incredible Oscar de la Renta gown fit the bill. The price-tag? £300,000.
Victoria Beckham’s 1999 wedding to David Beckham saw her wear a Vera Wang dress costing around £80,000, while Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Christian Lacroix gown worn to marry Michael Douglas in 2000 was thought to have cost £110,000.
Wow 17 years ago to this day this happened… I was lucky to meet someone who has the same drive and wanted the same things in life… We have created 4 beautiful children and I couldn’t wish for a more loving and caring mummy for them… Happy anniversary, I love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

As far as celebrity wedding dresses go, Nicole Kidman’s one-shoulder gown by Balenciaga, worn to marry singer Keith Urban, was rather *cough* cheap, coming it an £16,000.
See? Rose Leslie’s £20,000 dress is actually quite modest in the grand scheme of things.
