Tradespeople make the best lovers, according to a new survey. Next time you need to call on the 'services' of your local builder, electrician or car mechanic, you may like to secretly bear this fascinating new insight in mind. Or maybe you're already married to one...

The research by MaterialsMarket.com asked 2,000 coupled-up UK-based women and men from a range of backgrounds, sexual orientations, ages (ranging between 18 and 61) and locations across Britain, if tradespeople are good with their hands, and if a person’s profession impacts how good they are in bed.

“We wanted to see if people in the building world are really as good with their hands as people say – and what better way to judge that than through their bedroom abilities?!” says Samuel Hunt, co-founder of the platform.

“The survey has proven quite insightful and it’s great to see that the saying is in fact true – tradesmen are good with their hands! Perhaps the findings might help singletons in their search for a potential partner as, who knows, maybe a profession is much more than just a job,” quips Hunt.
