Pippa Middleton 'only allowing married couples' at her wedding - is that fair?
Pippa Middleton may have accidentally outshone big sister Kate on her wedding day but she’s not about to let the same thing happen twice.
The 33-year-old’s upcoming wedding to James Matthews (the brother of Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews) has a ‘no ring, no bring’ policy, according to an inside source.
Only husbands and wives will be allowed to attend the ceremony meaning that Spencer’s new girlfriend, Vogue Williams, will not be on the invite list.
“Pippa’s view is that Vogue’s relationship with Spencer is still very new,” a source told The Sun. “It wouldn’t be appropriate for her to be there after just a few months of dating.”
The model confirmed her relationship with Spencer last month after meeting the reality star on TV show The Jump back in January.
“Some people in the circle are pretty shocked because this is her future brother-in-law who’s going to end up attending on his own. It’s certainly raised eyebrows,” the source added.
The strict rule could also mean a ban on Prince Harry’s other half, Meghan Markle, even though the couple have been together considerably longer.
“It’s clear Pippa doesn’t want to be outshone by any TV babes on her big day,” finished the source.
Apparently, Vogue won’t be able to attend the wedding anyway due to previous work commitments.
The Duchess of Cambridge recently joined her sister for a secret hen do at a French ski resort with lavish gifts being thrown upon the party.
Pippa and James will wed on May 20 in the Middleton home of Berkshire with the reception taking place at her parents’ nearby home.
Giles Deacon is thought to be designing her wedding dress after being spotted leaving the couple’s house a few months ago.
