Prince William took time to shake hands with well-wishers as crowds gathered when he arrived at St. Andrews University ahead of his course.

Prince William and Kate will be taking a trip down memory lane next week as they return to their university in Scotland during a week of engagements.
William, now 38, met Kate, now 39, at St Andrews when they were students nearly 20 years ago.
The couple, now parents to three children, will return to their old campus and meet students there now, to hear about how they have coped with studying during the coronavirus pandemic.
They'll also head to the beach for a land yachting session with carers from the Fife area.
The story goes that William and Kate became friends in their first year, but it was at a charity fashion show that Kate really caught her future husband's eye.

She braved the catwalk in a see-through skirt which was pulled up and worn as a dress over a bikini.
The couple were together for several years before William proposed. They did break up for a brief period after university, however William realised he couldn't be without Kate and the pair went on to get engaged and then married at St Paul's Cathedral in London.
They have just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, so what could be more fitting than going back to where it all began?
