People Are Sharing The Worst Modern Trends That Should Have Disappeared Yesterday
Trends come and go, but the bad ones feel like they stick around all too long. So redditor u/Western_Definition80 asked, "What's a trend you're totally disappointed with?" Here's what people said about modern-day trends spanning everything from tech and fashion to food and more.
1."A lack of color in home decor. Everything is #sadbeige. Maybe a pillow is dusty pink if you want to add some spice."
2."Everything has to be a video now. Gone are the days of googling quick solutions; now everything is a 10-minute video with a three-minute intro, five minutes of irrelevant conversation, one minute about what you were googling, and a one-minute ending of 'like and subscribe!'"
3."Those microscopic luxury bags that can't even fit a phone inside."
4."Subscriptions. Everything that was once a one-time purchase has become a monthly subscription. It feels like we’re not allowed to own anything outright anymore."

7."The food trend of adding cottage cheese to everything. It's okay to have bread and for it to not have 72 grams of protein in it."
8."Plastic surgery, in particular buccal fat removal. It's out of control, and it's making so many female celebrities look 10–20 years older than they are."
9."How there's an app for EVERYTHING. Even to order at fast food or grocery stores, multiple items and deals are 'app only.' It's so damn annoying."

And then there's a separate bridal shower where you're expected to buy a gift from the registry. Plus, more and more of these events are involving travel! It feels like an abuse of social norms to try and squeeze people like this."
