Panerai has launched a new set of watches that pay tribute to the US Navy SEALs.
The latest models take their design cues from desert camouflage.
As well as the appropriately rugged cases, other nods to the military include the Navy SEAL decal at the 6 o’clock position on the dial, a small seconds designed to resemble a target and the logo of the Navy SEALs engraved on the case back.
The four new watches are the Submersible QuarantaQuattro Navy SEALs, a 44mm model in brushed stainless steel with a unidirectional rotating bezel, hours, minutes, small seconds, calculation of immersion time, stop-seconds for precise time setting, a three-day power reserve and water resistance to 300 meters.
The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Navy SEALs GMT Carbotech, a 44mm model in Panerai’s Carbotech, a material said to be 80 per cent lighter than steel, with a unidirectional rotating Carobotech bezel, hours, minutes, small seconds, date, GMT, calculation of immersion time, stop-seconds for precise time setting, a three-day power reserve and water resistance to 500 meters.
The Submersible Navy SEALs Titano, a 47mm model in brushed titanium with a unidirectional rotating Carbotech bezel, hours, minutes, date, calculation of immersion time, stop-seconds for precise time setting, a three-day power reserve and water resistance to 300 meters.
And the Submersible Chrono Navy SEALs Titano, a 47mm model in titanium DLC with a unidirectional rotating titanium bezel, hours, minutes, date, calculation of immersion time, stop-seconds for precise time setting, a three-day power reserve and water resistance to 300 meters.
The strap on each watch is made from rubber and textile and features a camo pattern.
The watches join Panerai’s existing Navy Seals Collection, which it calls “watches for modern heroes”.
