'I only want to date smart men – but asking IQ question on first date backfired'
What do you look for in a partner? While some go for looks, others are focused on personality.
And one model has a strict requirement when dating men – she wants them to be intelligent. Candice Kloss takes this so seriously that she started making her matches do IQ tests on their first dates.
The 24-year-old, who is apparently a member of Mensa with an IQ of 136, hoped this would help her find someone who can keep up with her. But unfortunately, it spectacularly backfired.

Candice believes her strict rule has "stopped" her from "finding true love". She hasn't met 'The One' three years after searching – so has switched to a different approach instead.
She's already reaping the benefits of being more open-minded too. She said: "I think it was totally unreasonable for me to ask this of my dates and I really regret it now.
"Since stopping the test, I’ve already met such a wide variety of people, and I’m no longer so close-minded about romantic possibilities. I feel less pressure and dating has actually become more enjoyable now.
"I’ve come to realise that sometimes people might not know much about business or politics but they know loads about another topic. It's been really surprising."
The New Yorker also listed more reasons she thinks she's unlucky in love. She believes her brain power and high expectations could be something to do with it.
She added: "I’m still searching but I think part of the reason I haven’t met the right person yet is because I can be a bit high-maintenance.
"A lot of the dates I’ve been on aren’t aware of my IQ until a little bit later on and this has helped with people not being deterred by my brain. In the past, it has hindered my chances of finding love.
"For instance, I have corrected a few dates before, such as if they pronounced a word wrong, and they didn’t seem too pleased. I’m not trying to be a know-it-all, it’s more in a bid to help them, but it only makes things awkward. Men like to feel confident and as if they have the upper hand."
Candice is spending Valentine's Day alone, unless she can find someone "rich and well-travelled" before February 14. She added: "I have no current plans and will probably buy chocolates for myself.
"Who knows, though? If I can find a guy who’s nerdy, has a sense of humour, is rich and well-travelled, then I might have a chance. For me, mutual respect and honesty are the priority over intelligence now. I think it’s important to give everyone a chance, as it’s the only way to find happiness."
