Only Murders trailer shares first look at Meryl Streep
Only Murders in the Building is soon set to be back on screens with season 3 and some new additions to the star-studded cast.
The upcoming season will see Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez return as the trio of protagonists Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam and Mabel Mora.
However, this time round they’ll be joined by three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep.
Streep’s casting in the new season was first announced back in January when Martin tweeted a photo with his co-stars, describing them as a "cast to dream of".
However, a new teaser trailer for season 3, which aired during Sunday night’s 95th Academy Awards ceremony, has now unveiled the first look at Streep in action.

In traditional Only Murders in the Building style, the trailer begins with a dramatic death scene and Mabel wittily remarking "Well, you know, who are we without a homicide?"
We later see Streep’s character comically introduced as she takes part in a roundtable script reading.
"Oh my god, it’s me!" she laughs, after a long silent pause. "Oh, I’m sorry. It’s me, isn’t it?"
The upcoming episodes will also see Paul Rudd, who previously guest starred in season 2 as Ben Glenroy, return for varying flashback scenes.
Of course, Only Murders in the Building is no stranger to having an impressive line-up of guest stars.
The previous two seasons saw 30 Rock star Tina Fey, The Police frontman Sting, Glee’s Jane Lynch and Trainwreck actress Amy Schumer make appearances.
"Only Murders in the Building is the true crown jewel of our slate," Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment boss Craig Erwich said, when the third season was first announced back in July. "Its appeal across generations, the intersection of humour and heart, and its truly original approach are a hallmark of and testament to Dan, John, Steve, Marty and Selena’s work.
"We are grateful to be able to continue telling the stories of Charles, Oliver and Mabel to viewers that have consistently shown us they crave more of this story."
Only Murders in the Building seasons 1 and 2 are available now on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.
