Oprah Opens Up About Meaningful Gift from 'Neighbor Friend' Meghan Markle

Last month, Oprah dropped her highly-anticipated Favorite Things list of 2024. This year's curation is chockfull of luxury gift ideas, hot-ticket items at under $50, the cutest presents for the cutest kids on your list, and even some beauty products were recommended by none other than Meghan Markle.
Hinoki Body Care Trio ($146 Value)
The gift suggestion in question is a Tatcha skincare set made up of the Hinoki Body Wash, Hinoke Body Milk, and Hinoki Body Oil. Infused with hinoki, a Japanese cypress plant, the trio of products are formulated to gently cleanse and exfoliate, nourish, and lock in hydration for soft, smooth, refined skin. "This is a favorite Favorite Thing—with the scent of a forest sent to me by my neighbor Meghan," Oprah said. "If you were to come into my house, you’d see this body wash, body oil, and body milk right by the tub."
Oprah visited the Oprah Daily office in midtown this month ahead of the holidays to discuss the beauty gift set further, revealing that her "neighbor friend" Meghan sent it with a corresponding book because "she knows I love trees." Gayle King, Oprah's longtime BFF and editor at large at Oprah Daily, also pointed out the packaging happens to be Oprah's favorite color green.
The Sussexes live in Montecito, California, where the media mogul also lives, and their friendship dates back to 2018. Oprah famously attended Meghan and Prince Harry's high-profile Windsor wedding that year, and most memorably, hosted a televised bombshell interview with the couple in 2021. Most recently, Meghan and Harry attended a Montecito bookstore opening alongside Oprah.
Meghan hasn't been secretive about her love for Tatcha; she previously said in an interview she's a fan of the brand's Rice Enzyme Powder, and fans got a glimpse of the cult-favorite Water Cream in a scene of Harry & Meghan documentary in 2022.
