This is the one food Jennifer Lopez swears by to keep her shape

Jennifer Lopez has proved time-and-time again that age is nothing but a number: from walking in the Versace Fashion Show at London Fashion Week last September to showing the world that she could still 'bring it' at her impressive Super Bowl performance, the star continues to defy stereotypes of female ageing.

And now her personal chef has revealed the foods that she relies upon to keep her in top shape (have you seen those abs?!), and it's probably not what you were expecting.

Kelvin Fernandez, who has worked for them for two years, shared exactly what's in the power couple's fridge with Us Weekly.

'[They have] sparkling water, always fruits and vegetables, like strawberries, even though Jennifer is not a big fruit person. The kids love their fresh berries,' Fernandez said. 'There’s always greens like spinach, cucumber and celery to make green juice.' According to him, J.Lo and A-Rod 'love starting their day with a green juice.'

And, apparently, breakfast isn't complete without some turkey bacon.

'Eggs is always the biggest one. Turkey bacon is always the biggest one,' Fernandez added. 'They love chicken and apple sausage in the morning, turkey bacon is a must at all times and fresh egg whites. We break eggs throughout the entire week.'

He says that eggs are always stocked up in the fridge, as well as healthy (and some unhealthy) snacks.

'[Their team] know what they eat on a regular basis, so there’s always eggs, there’s always healthy, healthy snacks and there’s always your junk snacks for the kids,' he says.

And for dinner, the Lopez clan are big fans of Mexican food.

'They love taco day. It could be Tuesday, it could be Wednesday, it could be Thursday, it doesn’t matter,' he dished. 'They love tacos.'

And ultimately, Fernandez says, 'The most important thing is that the pantry is always stocked, the fridge is always stocked.' J.Lo and Alex 'love consistency' when it comes to their diet, so the couple's team 'does a great job' making sure that happens.

Well, we may never have a personal chef — or abs — like J.Lo, but we can can certainly copy her muscle-maintaining breakfast.
