Olly Murs cancels massive gig in emotional post - ‘I’m extremely gutted’

Fans eagerly anticipating Olly Murs' performance at the Hydro in Glasgow tonight were left devastated after the pop-star announced he would not be able to make it just as doors were set to open.

Olly was scheduled to perform in front of thousands of excited fans, supporting Take That. However, hopes were dashed when the Glasgow venue announced the unexpected news on their social media channels, stating: "We are sorry to advise, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond anyone’s control, Olly Murs cannot perform tonight (Friday) in Glasgow. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience."

Taking to Twitter to address his disappointed fans, Olly shared his frustration, revealing that he had been at London Heathrow since 11 am for his flight. However, after several delays and a cabin crew incident, his British Airways flight got cancelled, preventing him from making it to the show on time.

Olly added: "Don’t think I’ve ever missed a gig before, am so annoyed! But am now in a car heading up for our 6hr journey for the Saturday and Sundays show right now."

Following the disappointing news, fans took to social media to express their reactions to the unexpected turn of events.

Despite the setback, Olly extended his best wishes to fans attending the Take That concert and apologised once more for the unforeseen circumstances that prevented him from taking the stage.

The 39-year-old former X Factor star recently welcomed his daughter Madison with his 30-year-old wife, Amelia Tank.

Olly is currently balancing fatherhood with his tour as he supports Take That, who are on an world tour titled This Life, with their UK and Ireland dates.
