Olivia Attwood: 'Relationships are work – I don’t see Brad for weeks'

Olivia Attwood has opened up on how things have changed in her relationship with footballer Bradley Dack, as she admitted that keeping their bond close has taken "work".

What's more, the former Love Island star turned Loose Women panellist confessed that she doesn't see her husband for "weeks" sometimes, something which comes after she opened up to OK! about the same issue recently.

The catalyst for the changes in their dynamic began relatively soon after the couple tied the knot last year, as Bradley signed with Sunderland football team soon afterwards.

As a result, the 32 year old explained that the pair are ships in the night at the moment, with Bradley staying in the north-east during the week.

While Olivia is focused on her filming projects in London day-to-day, she admitted that she and Bradley have to find a way to "make it work".

In a new interview with Heatworld, the reality TV favourite said: "Sometimes, it’s two weeks where we don’t see each other, other times, we might get two or three nights a week together.

"It’s not as much as we’d like, but we make it work," the star went on.

"Obviously, it could be worse – soldiers get married and then have to be deployed! Now, when we’re together, the time is more precious."

Despite taking a pragmatic approach to the situation, Olivia admitted that she has struggled with certain parts of the last year.

"You don’t expect to be married and then spend so long away from your husband, but there are good sides to missing someone," she mused.

Olivia also added that while it was "cheesy," she's learnt a lot about love over the years, including that relationships are "work" but they shouldn't be "difficult".

She even advised others to re-address their marriages if the relationship is "draining the life" out of them.

Olivia was well-known for her dramatic moments and intense rows during her time on Love Island, and she has realised that she believed if there wasn't any "drama or anxiety" in a romance then there couldn't be "passion or lust".

Now, she has reflected on how much energy she "wasted" in her younger years and is more content with things in her 30s.

Olivia and Bradley are gearing up to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in June, a year after the loved-up couple allowed fans into their lavish wedding day on Olivia Meets Her Match.

The star joked that the couple "better be" celebrating if Bradley wants her to stick around and make it to their second anniversary.
