It turns out, there’s no need to worry about losing your mojo as you get older.
An impressive 62% revealed that they’ve become more daring under the sheets with age - due to having fewer inhibitions when it comes to body confidence.
While a further 10% discovered that their libido has gradually increased over the years meaning they’re more up for getting down.
Retirement and increased ‘down time’ has also helped some change the meaning of a ‘night in’.

When it comes to dating, the study also revealed that the over-50 demographic is highly likely to have sex on the first date with more than a third also admitting they’re all for the ‘three date rule’.
On average, sex between those over 50 lasts for 25 minutes and the session usually involves three different positions - with missionary holding the top spot as the most favoured pose.
Doggy style and oral followed closely behind with anal making appearance in the top ten.

Yet despite popular belief, the older generation aren’t setting a good example when it comes to keeping safe.
The study discovered that 80% of over-50s have never been tested for an STI while only 4% of men and women use protection.
It comes as no surprise to learn that this has resulted in an increased diagnosis of STIs with gonorrhoea, syphilis and chlamydia rising by more than a third in the last decade.

According to Public Health England, the number of over-65s diagnosed with common STIs rose from 1,411 in 2016 to 1,608 in 2017.
