Despite being 12 episodes long and only dropping on iPlayer last weekend, we've obviously already binge-watched the whole of Normal People. And it's safe to say we're almost as obsessed with Marianne and Connell as we are with the actors that play them, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal.
The pair play the leading roles in the adaptation of Sally Rooney's novel, which tells the intoxicating story of Marianne and Connell, who come from different backgrounds but fall for each other at school. When they head off to the university, they begin an on-again-off-again relationship which can only be described as both heartbreaking and intimate.
Off screen, it seems Paul and Daisy have as much of a close bond as they do in Normal People (only we imagine without as much sex. Or maybe not?), and the pair have been sharing a number of photos from set.
'Here are just a few of the beautiful faces involved in the making of NP, more to come later 💕' Daisy wrote in her new Instagram post. 'The most wonderful cast and crew and my best pals!! Watch it now on @hulu and @bbcthree (ps the picture at the end was my view of an airport bookshop the first time I flew to Dublin for filming).'
Paul also shared some behind the scenes shots on his account, with the caption, 'Normal people out on @hulu today ❤️ The amazing @endabowe took the amazing photos. I took the not amazing ones.'
Late last year, he also shared more:
At the end of December, Paul wrote, 'Got to work with very cool people this year... Unfortunately my pictures were less cool but it was an attempt... Here are some of my pals looking arty. (and my Stan Smiths).'
Some more from behind the scenes:
GOD we love Normal People so much. Can we be friends with Marianne and Connell in real life? Or actually, Paul and Daisy? We'd take either.
