I've been using No7's cream bronzer and can't believe how expensive it feels for just £19.95

It glides on the skin like butter and gives the perfect glow.

I'm someone who loves a bronzed make-up look, it’s the one stage in my routine I’ll never skip (that, and a good blush). On days when I'm running errands or working from home in meetings, I'll often just wear bronzer, simply to liven up my face and give myself a glow without having to put a full face on.

Quick overview

As for my bronzer of choice for the last five or so years, my go-to has been the fan-favourite Benefit Hoola Bronzer (£32.50), coupled with a more recent addition of Selena Gomez's Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick (£27), which I absolutely love. That was until last month, when I spotted a certain cream bronzer doing the rounds online and selling out repeatedly at Boots.

The bronzer in question? No7's Pro Artist Soft Glow Cream Bronzer, part of the recently launched No7 Pro Artist Collection, a curated 12-piece range of luxurious cosmetics, with each product costing under £20. The bronzer is a velvety formula that's been likened to a luxury version that costs a lot more, is available in three shades, and melts into the skin leaving a sun-kissed, radiant glow. Having now used it for a month during a busy birthday period, I can understand why it’s so popular, and it has become a make-up bag staple.

Available to buy from Boots and directly from No7, it costs just £19.95, and I honestly couldn't recommend it more highly.

💸 Reasons to buy

Above anything else and probably my favourite characteristic of this bronzer, is how blendable it is. The formula itself is super creamy, it has a good level of pigment, and it glides onto the skin like butter. I've been using a dense stippling brush to work it in after warming it up on the back of my hand, and I just love how seamlessly it applies — to the point where I genuinely gasped on first use at how flawless it looked.

I went for the light glow shade (there's also medium glow and deep glow options), which looks super natural on my olive skin tone and is buildable if I want a bit more coverage. But I’ll probably stock up on the medium shade too, so I have the option of a deeper bronze if I fancy it.

The packaging is also super premium, feeling and looking a lot more expensive than it actually is. It comes in a generously sized, round tub, with plenty of space to pick up product using a make-up brush or beauty blender. There's a generous amount of product in there, too, which will no-doubt last me ages.

Over well-prepped skin, it looks great, with no patchiness or visible clinging to dry areas. It also applies super evenly, and works well both under or over additional products. I've been using it on its own, as well as set with a powder bronzer for longer-wear.

As for placement, I've been applying it to the contours of my face; over my cheekbones, around my forehead, on my nose and even over my eyelids for more definition. And I've been loving the warmth it gives my face.

I can totally see why this cream bronzer has sold out multiples times already. So while it's fully stocked, I definitely recommend snapping it up. I'm not the only one who is a fan of the new No7 launch, it has already racked up 100 five star reviews, with shoppers saying "you’ll instantly ditch all of your other bronzers" and that the product has changed their "entire make-up game".

Reasons to avoid

My only bugbear with this bronzer is the poor shade range. There's only three shades to choose from, which I don't think is enough to suit all types of skin tones and complexions.
