Kering names chief brand officer
In another executive shake-up at the luxury conglomerate, Laurent Claquin will assume duties as chief brand officer at Kering starting July 1 after 12 years as president of Kering Americas. His appointment follows the departure of Valérie Duport, Kering's former chief communications and image officer, in March. {Business of Fashion/paywalled}

Giorgio Armani to stage runway, open residential building in New York
The Madison Avenue building comprising Armani's flagship storefront and luxury residences has been redesigned. Renovations at 760 Madison Avenue included the addition of a restaurant, Armani/Ristorante and home boutique, Armani/Casa. "The opening of Madison Avenue is an important personal milestone because it crystallizes my vision of style in the city that was perhaps the first to truly embrace it," Armani said in a press release. The designer will celebrate the opening with a fashion show and after party on Oct. 17. {Fashionista inbox}

Miu Miu takes over newsstands with Summer Reads
Select newstands in cities around the world are receiving a makeover on June 7 and 8. Miu Miu will gift visitors their choice of two books from their selection of "Forbidden Notebook" by Alba de Céspedes, "A Woman" by Sibilla Aleramo and "Persuasion" by Jane Austen. The books were chosen for their depiction of extraordinary women, the brand said in a press release. {Fashionista inbox}

Jacquemus opens up shop at the Four Seasons Bahamas
Jacquemus has teamed up with the Four Seasons Bahamas to reimagine The Ocean Club. The brand has enhanced the resort pools with signature items from loungers to towels and pool toys. The collaboration will also feature a boutique shopping experience, Les Sculptures, in which a selection of pieces from the Jacquemus Spring 2024 collection will be available. An exclusive Jacquemus pool towel is also available for purchase at the resort and at fourseasons.com. {Fashionista inbox}

Cheryl Wischhover and Fawnia Soo Hoo launch newsletter about '80s and '90s pop culture and fashion
Fashion and beauty writers Wischhover and Soo Hoo (former and current Fashionista contributors) launched "Whatever Nevermind," which will analyze current interpretations of the 1980s and 1990s in pop culture, as well as reminisce on the period. The first edition of the newsletter includes an interview with Violet Sky, a 23-year-old living like it's the '80s and a breakdown of costuming in Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling's new the movie, "The Fall Guy," set between 1981 and 1986.
