Mums 'running' to Asda after supermarket slashes up to 60% off baby essentials
New or seasoned parents will be on the look out for the best deals for their kiddos this new year. Children are a beautiful addition to the family but they can be expensive, and clothes and food can easily wrack up a hefty bill.
Money conscious carers may have their go-to supermarkets, but one in particular is claiming to be the best for all baby essentials - not least because this January they are slashing up to 60 per cent off these exact products.
Thousands of household staples at Asda will see their prices reduced at the leading retailer this month. It comes at a time when budgets may be tight for families with little ones feeling the pinch post-Christmas.

Products from big-brand favourites such as Pampers, Huggies, Aveeno and Johnson’s Baby are included in the price drop. Asda has unveiled their top picks so mothers and fathers can get the most out their weekly shop:
Pampers Baby-Dry Nappies Essential Pack – 50 pack
Available in Size 3, Size 4, Size 5, Size 6, Size 7 and Size 8, the nappies were £10 but are now £4.
Huggies Pure Baby Wipes - 12 packs (12 x 56 wipes)
The baby wipes - perfect for food spills or dirty hands - were £11.50 and are now £5.75. That's a whopping half price reduction. The wipes are made with skin loving natural fibres, which gently clean and protect baby's delicate skin.
Harmony Venture Deluxe Harnessed Car Seat with Red Black Reversible Insert
The insert - the newest innovation in forward facing car seats - was £45 but can now be picked up for £22.50. Whether keeping the little one snug or transitioning the older child into the booster seat, this keeps all tots safe, comfortable, and secure.
Aveeno Baby Daily Care 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner – 250ml
Designed for baby's delicate hair, this combo was £6.50 but has undergone a 38 per cent reduction and now stands at an impressive £4. The product gently cleanses and nourishes for easy combing and is free from soaps and dyes.
Johnson's Baby Bedtime Gentle Lotion - 500ml
To get your baby off to sleep in a soothing and relaxing way, pick up this moisturising lotion for £2.25, down from £3.50. Clinically proven routine to help baby sleep better with soothing essences, it is also perfect for sensitive skin.
Shoppers are already praising the cuts online. Taking to TikTok, comments under @shercyrusx’s video with over 87k views, shows Huggies Wipes on offer at Asda, as comments scream "what a bargain!!” and "such a good deal".
Another TikTok by mum @maceyoharaa has gone viral, captioned ‘If you're a pampers mum RUN to asda!! £4 is the cheapest I've ever seen nappies!!’.
Gaining over 470,000 views in just a few days, stream of comments say: “I don’t even use pampers and I’m tempted by that price” and “RUNNING!”.
More ‘mumfluencers’ are sharing the deals, including this TikTok by @maisrosep, captioned "Mums run to Asda for 12 pack of Huggies for £5.75".
