Mum expecting triplets goes viral after sharing incredible images of her journey
The human body is an incredible thing and one Norweigan mother has set out to remind us that pregnancy is one of the greatest examples why.
Maria Jorstad is expecting triplets with her Danish husband Anders and has been documenting her journey via Instagram.
Since we’re only living in a 80 square meters apartment with 2 bedrooms, the triplets will stay in our room for the first year. 👶🏼👶🏼👶🏼 (So that our 2 year old can keep his room.) Thankfully we found this baby cot bed from @flexaworld which is broader than average, so they can all share bed for a good while. 💕 We also got an extra changing table (@flexaworld) in our living room, so that we are able to keep an eye on the other two when we are alone with them. Definitely more to prepare with three babies! 😅 But we are almost done. Had to downsize our own bed to a 1.40 m as well to make room for the babies! A bit small now with my big belly and pregnancy pillow, but what can you do!? 🤷🏼♀️ 😂 ⠀ #expectingtriplets #nesting #danishdesign #triplets

Under the username @triplets_of_copenhagen, Maria has been sharing everything from hospital scans to candid confessions on the emotional challenges that come hand-in-hand with pregnancy.
Soon enough, Maria amassed over 127,000 followers thanks to her refreshingly honest snaps of the new family car and the cot squeezed into their 80 square-metres apartment.
There are THREE! Me in the car back home from the hospital, an hour after receiving the big news. We had our first ultrasound at exactly 13 weeks, and got the biggest surprise of our life. Total shock. And three perfectly shaped babies. ❤️❤️❤️ #triplets #tripletsofinstagram #tripletsbabies

In one recent post, the 36-year-old shared a week-by-week photo alongside the caption: “What a journey this has been! From the huge shock of learning there were three, to people’s reactions, the numerous scans/checks and all the preparations and planning for this life-changing event. Nothing like the ordinary.”
Week to week with the triplets. ❤️ What a journey this has been! From the huge shock of learning there were three, to people’s reactions, the numerous scannings/checks and all the preparations and planning for this lifechanging event. Nothing like the ordinary. I’m glad we took these pictures, because this collage really shows the massive growth. It’s strange to have ended up with such a big belly and it’s even stranger that it can stand out like that without falling down! 😳😂 ⠀ #expectingtriplets #triplets #34weekspregnant #mybellyisbiggerthanyours

The couple – who are already parents to a two-year-old son – were surprised to learn that they were expecting triplets, as they got pregnant through IVF making their announcement incredibly rare.
In the run-up to the birth, Maria revealed via Instagram that it’s now a “waiting game” and she’s spent her days watching TV, listening to podcasts and sleeping. Who can blame her?
Maria is due to have a cesarean on September 12 and we don’t know about you but we can’t wait for the triplets’ Instagram debut.
