Josie Gibson was snapped with her son Reggie this week as she took the six-year-old to watch the new Lion King movie, Mufasa, in London. The This Morning star, 39, who usually keeps her son fairly private from the public eye, beamed for some pictures on the red carpet as she wrapped an arm around Reggie, who she shares with ex-partner Terry Bond.

Wrapping up warm in a long black coat and a burgundy coat, Josie looked radiant as she pulled her blonde locks into an-up do, while Reggie was dressed in a navy coat and grey trousers. The movie day appears to be the beginning of Josie's Christmas celebrations with Reggie, with the star gearing up for a magical time over the next couple of weeks.

Recently opening up to OK! about their Christmas traditions with Reggie, which includes her even dressing him up in a suit for their annual visit to Santa Claus. "I’m all about the magic, and keeping the magic alive," she shared. "Reg is the best version of himself the whole way through December because Father Christmas calls us and his elves call us and I always make him go and see Father Christmas in a suit."

Josie also cherishes the traditional Christmas Day moments at home. She revealed, "I love seeing Reg’s face when he comes down on Christmas morning. You know when they go, ‘He’s been!’ That is everything for me. That’s why I do everything, to celebrate that moment."

This year, the Bristol-born star will be hosting her family for Christmas and is considering swapping the usual Christmas turkey for a Turducken - a duck inside a chicken inside a turkey. She explains, "I’m going to be spending Christmas at home, having a relaxed one. I’m going to do loads of food so everybody can just pop in when they want to, help themselves to food, stay as long as they want, play some party games."

While Josie admits she's not the world's best cook, she does have a secret tip for perfect roast potatoes. "I sprinkle a beef Oxo cube on the potatoes and then I roast them. They come out amazingly – and I snack on them all day. I do normally go for a turkey, but this year I might get a bird in a bird in a bird," she added. And while she's giving pigs in blankets a miss, Josie is planning to jazz up her sprouts using a recipe from Michelin-trained chef Poppy O’Toole. "I’m going to copy Poppy O’Toole’s recipe for sprouts with chestnuts," she says.
