This Morning star gobsmacked as they realise Loose Women host Nadia Sawalha's real age amid heartbreaking admission

This Morning's Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary were taken aback on Friday's show after learning the real age of Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha. Nadia, who is a regular host and panellist on Loose Women, celebrated her 60th birthday on the show today - but Alison and Dermot couldn't believe she had reached that milestone.

Speaking to Loose Women's Kay Adams via video link on This Morning, Alison and Dermot asked what the Loose Women had lined up for today's episode. "It's time for the Loose Women, what's on the show Kay?" Alison said. Kay answered: "We're having a party! Nadia is joining the 60 club, we'll be finding out how she plans to celebrate her milestone birthday and finding out why getting healthy is top of her agenda. We're going to have a few surprises too - do not miss it!"

The camera cut back to a visibly shocked Alison and Dermot, who couldn't believe Nadia is 60. "That is nonsense!" Dermot said. "I demand stewards enquiry - come one!"

Alison added: "Absolute rubbish, she is not 60. Are you joking? Happy birthday Nadia! Oh my God, what is going on? There's something in the food."

However, Kay was quick to cheekily quip back: "Believe me Alison, when you see her up close she does look it." Actress and TV personality Nadia was one of the original panellists on Loose Women back in 1999, staying on the show until 2002. She later returned in 2013 and has been a big part of the show ever since. Outside of presenting, Nadia played Annie Palmer on EastEnders and has presented Lorraine, Junior MasterChef and The One Show.

Meanwhile, the Loose Women panel has lost one of its stars ahead of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, with Jane Moore heading to Australia for the 2024 series. However, the journalist was greeted by bad news when she arrived at Brisbane airport - with the star tipped to be the first contestant to be voted out of the jungle, according to the bookmakers.

Bonusfinder has released odds on who is most likely to face the first trial, the first to walk out on the show, and the most likely surprise entrants into camp. While GK Barry is predicted to face the first trial, Jane has been singled out as the celebrity most likely to quit and walk out of the jungle.

Loose Women airs Monday to Friday at 12:30pm on ITV1.
