Morning Live's Gethin Jones says 'this is a first' as he returns to regular slot on BBC
Gethin Jones has been back in the Morning Live hot seat after a successful stint at Cardiff's New Theatre in their Cinderella panto - but over the weekend he definitely was not warm as he enjoyed some snowy fun up north where the show is filmed.
The Cardiff TV star shared a clip of him and pal, Morning Live editor Martin Bruce, sledging in the snow, a first he claimed for the pair. The BBC presenter is back on our screens as he returns to his regular slot hosting Morning Live on Monday, January 13.
In a series of videos shared to Gethin's Instagram page, Gethin and Martin Bruce are sledging down a hill covered in snow and ice. Before setting off, Gethin said: "We've done a lot of different things together in our lifetimes... This is a first. Let's go."

The pair are then scene rocketing down the hill while they try not to fall off and remarks: "My bum's come up!" before quizzing Martin how he ended up in the plum seat at the back. In another one of the clips, Marin can be seen laying flat on the sledge and going head-first, before Gethin jumps on top of him.
Gethin captioned the clips "Sledging is for the kids, as these pics completely disprove." Former Strictly contestant Rhys Stephenson commented, "I'm just spitballing here but I don't think the kids ever got a turn."
Morning Live Doctor's Dr Ranj and Dr Punam Krishan also replied to the post with a series of laughing faces. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter
The presenter is back in Manchester to host Morning Live after taking some time away from the show to star as Prince Charming in The New Theatre Cardiff's pantomime. While back in his home city, Gethin shared a picture of him and Owain Wyn Evans enjoying some chips on Caroline Street in Cardiff, which is more fondly known as Chippy Lane or Chip Alley.
He captioned the photo saying, "If you know you know..." and was met with hundreds of people sharing their memories, and orders, from Cardiff's famous street.
