Molly-Mae Hague has shown she's backing best friend and former Love Island co-star Maura Higgins all the way as she stars in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. During Saturday evening's show, Maura had to face her first Bushtucker trial on the show as she was challenged with eating a myriad of stomach-churning dishes - including pig's eyeballs and goat's testicles .

After Maura, 33, and her co-star Reverend Richard Coles bagged all six stars up for grabs in the trial, which was aptly named Terrifying Teddy Bear's Picnic, Molly-Mae, 25, took to Instagram to praise her performance. Sharing a picture of her TV screen with Maura on it, the influencer first wrote: "Struck down with a stomach bug and the only thing that got me through today was waiting for tonight's episode." After watching the challenge, she then wrote: "WOW. Some woman @maurahiggins".

On the show, Maura has finally made it to the main camp after entering the show as a late arrival and getting to stay in a luxury camp alongside Richard - which was complete with a bed, a sofa, a grill and a bubble bath. Now, she and Richard have joined their fellow celebrities in the main camp, where they will be roughing it on hammocks and completing trials for food.

In the camp are some familiar faces to Maura, as she is thought to have had a brief romance with campmate Barry McGuigan's son, Shane. Maura and Shane met at a boxing match she was working at as a ring girl in 2018 and despite their split, they've remained on good terms.

Following in his dad's footsteps, 36 year old Shane is now a boxing coach and owns a gym in South West London where he trained rising stars like Chantelle Cameron, George Groves, Carl Frampton and Lee McGregor. At the time, a source told The Sun: "Maura has brains and beauty, and she quickly caught Shane's eye."

"They went on a few dates and had fun, but Maura lives in Ireland, Shane is running his successful boxing gym in London, and then she was travelling for work so it wasn't easy to pull off," reports the Express. The source revealed: "There were no hard feelings when it ended. It turned out to be short lived and the spark fizzled out."

Speaking to The Sun before heading into the jungle, Maura said: "I reckon I'd get on really well with Barry McGuigan. You know, Irish... I think he's very humorous." She also revealed her excitement about meeting Coleen Rooney, admitting she's keen to discuss the Wagatha Christie saga with her. Maura confessed: "I want to talk to her about it. I'm a bit nosey like that. I would do the exact same as what Coleen did."
