Molly-Mae Hague’s blunt response as best pal Maura Higgins makes I’m A Celeb debut
Maura Higgins has finally arrived in the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Jungle after weeks of speculation. Maura rose to fame during the fifth series of Love Island in 2019, alongside Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury. Maura and Molly have remained close friends since, and Molly has since broken her silence on Maura’s stint with a one word response.
Before her debut on the ITV show, fronted by Ant and Dec, Maura posted a video on Instagram as she made her way to the jungle. Filming herself on the plane, the 33-year-old could be heard excitedly saying: “I’m on my way to Australia!”
“The moment I land, my chaperone is taking my phone off me,” she continued. “So this is goodbye. My manger’s going to be looking after my my social media while I’m in hell,” Maura laughed before laughing about how she’s still hungover from her trip to Vegas. “Next time you see me I’m going to have bugs all over me,” Maura concluded before blowing a kiss to the camera.

The post was flooded with comments from Maura’s fans and celebrity friends, including bestie Molly-Mae who simply penned: “QUEEN” alongside a red heart emoji.
“One of the best friendships to come from Love Island! Love how you two always supports each other,” one fan replied to Molly’s comment.
“You’ve got this Maura…you’re stronger than you know! Good luck!!” exclaimed former Queen of the Jungle Stacey Solomon who Maura had been partying with in Vegas just days prior to her arrival.
Vanderpump Rules star and Love Island USA host Ariana Madix also commented: “you are going to become queen of the jungle!” alongside numerous red heart emojis.
Maura is heading into camp as a late arrival alongside Reverend Richard Coles, 62. The two will initially have their own private base - and a secret mission - before heading into the main camp where they will join celebs including Coleen Rooney, Alan Halsall and McFly’s Danny Jones.
Shortly before entering the jungle, Maura broke her silence on rumours she’s dating Strictly Come Dancing and TOWIE star Pete Wicks. Maura played it cool, as she told The Mirror: "I mean, I've been on a date with many people."
She was quick to downplay any talk of a relationship though, insisting: "I'm not [dating]. Where have you heard that? I date but I'm very much single," as she expressed how she finds the constant speculation about her love life rather dull.
"Honestly, I just think the interest in my dating life is so boring. People go on dates. Like everyone goes on dates, but then it suddenly becomes that I am in a relationship with this person, or that person."
