Skinny jeans will forever live in Miranda Kerr's heart.

The Australian supermodel, 41, shared her passion for the divisive fashion trend on TikTok, where she claimed that the early 2000s and 2010s fashion trend never went out of style (despite what the kids these days are saying).

"When Gen Z decided skinny jeans are back, but you never stopped wearing them," she captioned a clip in which she's seen in a pair of slim ankle-length jeans and kicking her high-heeled feet in the air.

Kerr's followers had a lot to say about her hot take in the comment section. Some were very much in the same boat as the Victoria's Secret star. "I never stopped wearing skinny [jeans] since 2010," one wrote, while another said they "regret" giving their pairs away.

Another pointed out that skinny jeans will always be in fashion as long as they're styled the "off-duty" way, referring to the laid-back but effortlessly cool everyday aesthetic often seen on models, including Kerr, in the 2010s when they weren't strutting down the runway.

However, anti-skinny-jeans wearers said they were happy to see that ship set sail. "No never for me," one person commented. "Never in life will I return to that," quipped another.

Kerr's video comes weeks after unofficial Gen Z ambassador Alix Earle, 24, debuted a modernized version of skinny jeans with clothing label Frame. “The Alix” jeans, designed with a slim (but stretchy) and high-waisted fit, were released in two colorways on Jan. 23.

“Having ‘The Alix’ skinny jean available at Frame feels like a major milestone moment for me. I’ve secretly kept a pair in my closet for years, and when I first met with [Frame co-founder and creative director] Erik [Torstensson] in 2023 to discuss a potential Frame collaboration, I couldn’t resist pitching the idea of bringing this classic (although some might say controversial) wardrobe staple back,” Earle shared in a press release.

Whichever side you're on, thankfully skinny jeans aren't the only denim fad of 2025 and there are a few breezy options to choose from, such as flare jeans (which, courtesy of Kendrick Lamar's 2025 Super Bowl Halftime look, are having a moment once again), wide-leg jeans and more.
