Millie Mackintosh shares a breathtaking before and after of newly renovated TV room
Millie Mackintosh has given fans major house envy after sharing before and after photos of her new snug. The former Made In Chelsea star has been busy renovating her new family home in recent months - and judging by her stunning TV room it’s clear that all of the hard work has paid off.
Giving her 1.3 million Instagram followers a peek of her humble abode, Millie, 35, shared a series of snaps from her very own snug. But while it may epitomise cosiness now, that wasn’t always the case and the TV personality revealed that the sitting area was a neutral kitchen prior to the renovation works.
In a carousel post, the mum-of-two shared a series of snaps to track the room’s progress. In two photos, she showcased its original state as a kitchen which featured beige tiles and wooden cabinets, all of which were taken out in order to design to snug.

In its place, Millie, husband Hugo Taylor and their daughters Sienna and Aurelia now have a beautiful snug to relax together. With blue colour drenched walls and ceilings top to toe, the space has a calm feel thanks to its single shade, making it the ultimate hub for the family.
To spruce up the space, the TV room also features a stunning alcove shelving unit which not only provides a home for the family’s assortment of books, but it helps to inject some more colour into the room. And as well as their books, the shelves are filled with personal items, including cherished photos, candles and ornaments for that personalised effect.
No snug would be complete without a sofa, with the family opting for a deep blue corner sofa to match the overarching colour scheme. In keeping with the colourful bookcase, a series of multicoloured scatter cushions help tie everything together.
“Our snug before and after! There’s something special about creating a little sanctuary in your home, and our tv room has truly become just that. It was originally the kitchen and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the house, it’s our go-to for slowing down and switching off in the evenings,” wrote Millie as she gushed over the space.
“Whether it’s curling up under a blanket with a gripping book, indulging in a cosy movie night, or simply soaking up the stillness, this room surrounds you and feels like a big, warm hug. @callaghaninteriors worked their magic with the most stunning bespoke joinery, transforming this room into a true haven. From smart storage solutions to the light-up shelves, every detail adds to the cosy, calming vibe.”

In response to the transformation, fans flocked to the comments to praise the design of the space. “Wow!! Love the before and after pics!!! Please do more!! Love it!,” wrote one. “Very cosy just what you need to wind down love it x,” another added.
