Miley Cyrus Went Hiking in Tiny Leather Short Shorts
It's not the official L.A. hiking uniform, but it should be.
Stars love to take in the Southern California sunshine by hiking up to the Hollywood sign or trekking up the beloved Runyon Canyon trail (trust us, for celeb sightings in Hollywood, skip Mother Wolf and just go hiking). Miley Cyrus proved that the trails are still a hotspot by sharing a pair of images to her Instagram Feed showing off her unorthodox hiking gear: a pair of super-short red leather shorts from Gucci, complete with the Italian brand's signature GG-logo belt.
In the shots, Cyrus posed alongside Gucci's new creative director, Sabato De Sarno, and photographer Tyler Mitchell, which may confirm that she's still working with the brand after the departure of its former creative director, Alessandro Michele. Cyrus paired her little shorts with a gray polo shirt and a pair of bold gold hoops. She wore her dark hair pushed back off her face and smiled for the camera with the sunshine pouring down on everyone.
“It was us in LA," she captioned the images. "We danced. We laughed. We loved each other."

Miley may not be a member of the Spice Girls, but her Sporty Spice mood has been front and center lately. Just a few days before she went on that hike, she posted a shot of herself doing yoga on a paddleboard and showing off her impressive balance skills. In a short video that she shared, which was set to her song, "Island," she did a twisting lunge, plank pose, cobra pose, upward dog, and a push-up while wearing a little black bathing suit.
"So close to heaven but so far from everyone," she wrote, pulling lyrics from her track. "🌊 Grateful for this #Island & the abundant magic she shared with us. 🦋"
While she hasn't teased any music since releasing her album Endless Summer Vacation earlier this year, Cyrus will feature on her godmother Dolly Parton's upcoming album, Rockstar. Together, they'll be on a new version of Cyrus's hit, "Wrecking Ball."
“I’ve grown up covering my Aunt Dollys [sic] music & it’s an honor to hear her singing one of my songs,” Cyrus wrote in an Instagram post. “I love you Aunt Dolly! I’m so happy to add another collaboration under our bedazzled (studded leather) belt! We’re ROCKSTARS now!”
