Yesterday saw the Trumps arrive in England for their four-day working visit of the UK.

After arriving at London Stansted Airport, the Presidential couple was whisked away to Winfield House in Regent’s Park, where they are staying as guests of the US ambassador.

Melania looked chic in a form-fitting, stone-coloured Roland Mouret midi dress, but it was her change of outfit for the evening’s engagements that had everyone talking.

Making the journey to Blenheim Palace for a black-tie dinner hosted by Theresa May, the First Lady swapped out her Mouret dress for a gown worthy of a princess.

Melania’s floor-length, pastel yellow J. Mendel gown featured draping sleeves and a stunning wrap-effect.

As is a theme with the 48-year-old’s wardrobe, the gown from the French atelier is thought to cost an eye-watering £5,000.

Her show-stopping look served up some humorous comparisons, with people taking to social media to compare her to Belle in Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

And who were people calling the Beast? You can work that one out.

During their UK visit, the Trumps are to Windsor Castle today to spend time with the Queen before heading to Scotland to spend the weekend playing golf.

Trump’s visit to the UK has proven highly controversial, with protests taking place across the country.

In her seventeen months as First Lady, Melania has made some controversial fashion choices.

The latest of which was her frankly bizarre decision to wear a jacket baring the slogan ‘I really don’t care, do u?’ to visit some of the 2,000 detained immigrant children in a care facility at the border of Mexico, having been separated from their parents.
