Meghan Markle's fresh setback as she's 'snubbed' by A-listers for latest project

It's only been two months since Meghan Markle announced a brand new podcast, signing a deal with distributor Lemonada Media for the new venture. However, the project has now reportedly been put on the backburner now and may not be released until 2025, as Meghan focuses on the growth of her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

The Daily Mail's Richard Eden claimed that the podcast has been placed on hold “until next year at the earliest” while she prepares for the lifestyle brand. He added that the venture is “struggling to get off the starting blocks” altogether, but assured she had some A-list guests lined up.

However, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has now claimed that it's actually being pushed back due to Meghan struggling to tie down high-brow guests. Appearing on GB News, she said: "There are sources telling the Daily Mail that Meghan has a list of very high profile guests scheduled to participate in her new podcast, but does she?

"Very high profile guests usually have their diaries filled months in advance. Meghan should know, she used to be that [high profile]."

OK! has reached out to the Duchess of Sussex's representatives for comment.

Last month, Meghan announced the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. However, details about what it would be offering were few and far between.

But last week, the brand's first product was unveiled, a strawberry jam. As influencers began to share images of the jam, that they've been able to taste-test, something fascinating about the package design has caught numerous followers' eyes.

The jars of strawberry jam, showcased by influencers, each carry individual numbers like '17 of 50' or '10 of 50'. This unique numbering detail has sparked speculation amongst Royal watchers that Meghan's jam could potentially be a "limited" edition condiment.

It's no wonder the podcast has been pushed back, as Meghan is not only working on her brand but on a new Netflix series too, which is part of the $80m deal she and husband Harry have with the streaming giant.

The show will feature Meghan and was initially thought to centre around her love for cooking, but now it has been revealed that viewers will see more on an insight into the Duchess' life with the release.

According to Deadline, the Duchess of Sussex is set to star in a non-fiction series that promises to celebrate “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship. This multifaceted project aligns with Meghan's upcoming lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, showcasing her passion for holistic living and community."
