Meghan Markle Shares Whether Her Kids Inherited Prince Harry’s British Accent
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s children Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, have been growing up in California, so it’s no surprise they don’t have the British accents that Kate Middleton and Prince William’s children do. But they still pronounce some words like their dad, Meghan revealed on The Drew Barrymore show.
Barrymore asked if there’s anything Archie and Lili do that reminds Meghan of Harry. Meghan replied, 'Oh, some of the words that they still say with a British accent, so they’ll say zeh-bra [for zebra] and what else do they say? They have these little moments where it comes out and because they have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him, and I think it’s adorable.'

Meghan spoke to People in an interview published on Monday about how this moment in Archie and Lili’s lives marks a new chapter in her life. 'When your children get to a certain age — when you’re not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost playing in your own sandbox again — it’s super joyful,' she said. 'As a woman, a mum and a wife, to be able to find yourself again—in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn’t put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older—is a wonderful feeling.'
Meghan’s lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, is now available to stream on Netflix.
