Meghan Markle has officially been accepted by the royal family
After almost a year of dating Prince Harry, a source has revealed that Meghan Markle is now free to come and go from Kensington Palace as she pleases.
The 35-year-old actress is now reportedly “waved right through” the security gates of Kensington Palace; a rare decision made by the royal’s security team.
Considering the palace is set to be Meghan’s new home this summer, it makes sense.
All other visitors – including Harry’s friends – are required to have an official invite from a member of the household and fill out a ton of paperwork on arrival.
“Harry has made it clear she’s to be treated like everyone else who lives there,” the insider told US Weekly. “She’s very much been accepted into the family. They are so happy to see Harry happy.”
Apparently, Meghan has been helped along by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who are also set to make a permanent move to Kensington Palace in September.
Kate and William have allegedly been incredibly protective and supportive of Meghan as she embarks on one of the most high-profile relationships in the world.
Harry’s private secretary has also been a great help to the actress. “There have been many times where Meghan’s been unsure of protocol and having access to Harry’s aides has been a godsend,” the source added.
Meghan is expected to attend Pippa Middleton’s wedding reception next month with Harry. This will be the first time the royal couple has made an official public appearance.
